KEEPING PRAYERFUL HEARTS DURING TRansition

MArch 22, 2026

With grateful hearts, we bid farewell to our beloved Monsignor Bruce Piechocki as he concludes his 10 years of faithful service to our Saint Aloysius Parish.

Monsignor Piechocki has been a true shepherd to our community — guiding us with wisdom, compassion, and deep love for the Lord and His Church. We are profoundly thankful for his dedication, his pastoral care, and the many ways he has strengthened our faith over the past decade. May God continue to bless him abundantly in his next chapter of ministry.

At the same time, we joyfully welcome as Parish Administrator Fr. Mark Gurtner, with open arms and open hearts! We stand ready to support him as he answers God’s call to serve our parish. Together, we look forward to building upon the beautiful legacy of Saint Aloysius Church and School.

Please keep both Monsignor Piechocki and Fr. Gurtner in your prayers during this time of transition.

NEW ORGAN GIVES THE PARISH A REASON TO SING

AUGUST 18, 2025

Take a look at these smiling faces! Our church organists, Tim Johnson and Cheryl White, are ecstatic to be playing on our new church organ. The gratitude runs far and wide for all involved in the process of making this purchase possible.

Tim Johnson spearheaded the fundraising efforts that needed to be completed. It was truly a race against time. Our 41-year-old Allen organ was failing, but in order to purchase a new one, we needed to raise the entirety of the funds in a mere EIGHT short weeks. Together with Monsignor Bruce, they presented the need to the parish and asked for the generosity of everyone to make this happen.

And the parish responded in a BIG way. Not only was the total amount raised, but there was a surplus donated which enabled the carpet to be replaced in the choir loft as well as cover the cost of the speaker system. This new organ comes with a 60-year life expectancy, so our church walls should reverberate with the dulcet tones of our new organ for many years to come.

For those interested in the technical details of our purchase, the church acquired the Allen GX-235 model from Peacock Music Company in Monticello, Indiana. This organ has Genisys Apex, the latest technology available, which allows music to be streamed and recorded and "reproduces even the smallest detail of organ pipe sound" - per the Allen organ website.

Again, another thank you to everyone who donated. You have literally left a legacy in our parish that will carry on for decades to come.

DUTIES OF AN USHER

40 REASONS TO CELEBRATE

JUNE 23, 2024

The parishioners of St. Aloysius celebrated Monsignor Bruce Piechocki’s 40th anniversary of his ordination in conjunction with the annual church potluck dinner. The Rosary Sodality ladies presented him with a gift of a picture of “Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary.” Many thanks are due to our wonderful pastor and spiritual mentor. Congratulations, Monsignor Bruce, from all of us at St. Aloysius!

A DAY OF FUN AND FELLOWSHIP

august 10, 2024

It was another successful year for the St. Aloysius Festival! Parishioners and community members joined in on the fun-filled day and raised over $12,000 for the Parish Project Fund. The church grounds were awash with laughter and smiles as old friends and new gathered to support the parish and make time for fellowship and fun.  The thank you list of everyone involved would be endless, but Kandi Magner deserves a special thank you - she stepped up to chair the event this year and she truly poured her heart into making it a success.
